biography

Originally from Bangkok, Nattakon Lertwattanaruk (b. 2006) is a Thai composer and performer whose musical works primarily explore ecological dichotomies between anthropogenic and natural environments through stark juxtapositions of sonic extremities, the extension of instruments, and slow-paced transmutations of angular gestures. Prior to his undergraduate studies, he primarily studied composition with Thai composer Dr. Piyawat Louilarpprasert. He is a Distinguished Prize recipient of the 2022 and 2024 SCG Young Thai Artist Awards and has collaborated with ensembles such as Tacet(i), the Thai Youth Orchestra, the Eastman Musica Nova, and Kul-Gänte. His works have been performed at festivals such as Thailand New Music and Arts Symposium, IntAct Festival, Princess Galyani Vadhana International Music Festival, and China ASEAN Music Festival. Nattakon is currently pursuing a B.M. in composition at the Eastman School of Music, where he studies under Dr. Mikel Kuehn.

ณัทกร เลิศวัฒนารักษ์ (พ.ศ. 2549) เป็นนักประพันธ์เพลงและศิลปินชาวไทย งานของณัทกรสำรวจความขัดแย้งทางนิเวศวิทยาระหว่างสิ่งแวดล้อมที่มนุษย์สร้างขึ้นกับสิ่งแวดล้อมธรรมชาติ โดยผ่านการสำรวจเสียงต่างๆที่เป็นขั้วตรงข้าม และการดัดแปลงเครื่องดนตรี

ก่อนเข้าการศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี อาจารย์หลักด้านประพันธ์ดนตรีของณัทกรคือ ดร. ปิยวัฒน์ หลุยลาภประเสริฐ นักประพันธ์ดนตรีชาวไทย ณัทกรเป็นผู้ได้รับรางวัลดีเด่นจากโครงการรางวัลยุวศิลปินไทย ภายใต้มูลนิธิ เอสซีจี พ.ศ. 2565 และ 2567 และเคยร่วมงานกับวงดนตรีมากมาย เช่น Tacet(i) Ensemble, วงดุริยางค์เยาวชนไทย (TYO), Kul-Gänte Ensemble และ Eastman Musica Nova ผลงานของณัทกรเคยได้รับการแสดงในเทศกาลดนตรีต่างๆ เช่น Thailand New Music and Arts Symposium, IntAct Festival, Princess Galyani Vadhana International Music Festival และ China ASEAN Music Festival

ปัจจุบัน ณัทกรกำลังศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีสาขาการประพันธ์ดนตรีที่ Eastman School of Music ภายใต้การสอนของ ดร. Mikel Kuehn
